AIMSO's H-scale describes the ratio of human to AI involvement: H0 is fully human-created (reference only, not chart eligible), H1 is human-led with minor AI assistance, H2 is balanced hybrid, H3 is AI-dominant with human direction, H4 is mostly AI with human oversight, and H5 is fully AI-generated. H1–H5 are eligible for AIMI/AIMSO charts with proper disclosure.

AI involvement means the use of generative AI tools in any part of the music or audio creation process — including composition, melody, lyrics, vocals, production, arrangement, mixing, or mastering. AI usage limited to marketing, visuals, or social media campaigns alone does not qualify a work for AI chart eligibility.

No. AI-generated cover art, social campaigns, or promotional materials do not qualify a song for AIMI/AIMSO charts. The music or audio creation process itself must include disclosed AI involvement.

H0 is 'Human Created' — music made entirely without AI involvement. H0 works are accepted only as reference or context records. They are not eligible for AIMI/AIMSO chart consideration, AI badges, or AIMSO certifications unless a separate qualifying AI element is disclosed and documented.

Yes. If a work is re-recorded, remixed, or re-produced in a way that materially changes the level of AI involvement, you are responsible for updating your registry record or submitting a new entry with the corrected classification.

The AIMI Registry assigns permanent, unique identification numbers (e.g., AIMI-SONG-000001) to creators, artists, labels, songs, prompts, voices, models, and catalogs in the AI music ecosystem. It is a voluntary transparency and traceability framework — not a copyright registration.

A registry ID is a persistent public identifier. It signals participation in AIMI/AIMSO's transparency framework. It does not confer legal rights, copyright ownership, or any regulatory authority.

Yes. Registry submission, Founding Beta participation, and newsletter subscription are all free. AIMI/AIMSO is an industry transparency initiative, not a paid gatekeeper.

Creators, labels, artists, voice rights holders, prompt authors, and AI model operators whose work qualifies as AI-involved music under the AIMSO H1–H5 framework are eligible. Human-only H0 creators may register for reference context when directly connected to an AI-involved catalog.

Yes. AIMI reserves the right to suspend or revoke registry IDs in cases of inaccuracy, rights disputes, prohibited submissions, or standards non-compliance. Notice will be provided where reasonably possible.

The Founding Registry is the initial enrollment period inviting early creators, labels, and entities to join the AIMI Registry as Founding Members, establishing persistent public IDs during the Founding Beta phase.

AIMSO certifications are voluntary industry transparency designations (Gold, Silver, Bronze, Restricted, Ineligible tiers). They confirm that disclosed information meets AIMSO's framework — but do not constitute legal advice, copyright clearance, licensing approval, or any guarantee of ownership.

No. Verification means that disclosed information has been reviewed under AIMSO's transparency framework. It is not legal advice, a guarantee of copyright ownership, or a licensing approval. Creators remain solely responsible for their own rights and legal compliance.

An AIMSO Rating is a letter grade (A+ through F) assigned based on musical quality, production quality, transparency, creation method clarity, rights disclosures, prompt architecture, and ethical compliance. Ratings are informational and editorial in nature.

Review timelines vary during the Founding Beta period. AIMI/AIMSO will notify applicants of status updates as evaluations are completed. Complex submissions or those requiring additional documentation may take longer.

Yes. Certified entities may display AIMSO verification badges, registry IDs, and certification marks. Doing so in any commercial or public context constitutes acceptance of the Registry & Certification Terms and Submission Terms.

Yes. Certification may be revoked if new information conflicts with original submissions, if rights disputes arise, or if the work is found to violate AIMI/AIMSO terms. Appeals are available through the AIMSO Appeals Center.

Music must include disclosed AI involvement, be classified H1–H5, meet registry and rights requirements, and pass platform-link and data quality review. Chart methodology continues developing with industry input during the Founding Beta phase.

AIMI/AIMSO is not designed to chart fully organic human-only music. Human-only H0 works may only appear as reference records when directly relevant to an AI-involved catalog, AI remix, or hybrid version.

Founding Beta chart eligibility is opening through the registry process. Full chart methodology continues developing with community input. Chart data is currently in a Founding Beta state and should be treated as preliminary.

The AIMI Score is a composite metric aggregating reach, engagement, velocity, platform presence, cultural impact, and innovation signals from multiple data sources. The full scoring methodology is preliminary during Founding Beta and will be refined with industry input.

AIMI currently aggregates trend data from YouTube, Apple Music, TikTok, and other streaming and social platforms. More sources are being added as the platform develops.

Submitters are solely responsible for ensuring they have the legal right to submit, distribute, and publicly associate the submitted work with AI tools or platforms listed in the registry entry. AIMI/AIMSO does not adjudicate rights disputes.

Yes. Submitters must comply with the terms of service of any AI platform used (e.g., Suno, Udio, Stable Audio) and all applicable laws in their jurisdiction regarding AI-generated content, voice rights, and copyright.

Voice rights refer to proper ownership, consent, or licensing of AI-generated or synthetic vocal models. AIMSO requires disclosure of vocal model usage as part of its transparency framework. Creators must ensure they have the right to use any voice model included in their work.

Knowingly submitting false, misleading, or fabricated information is grounds for immediate removal from the registry and permanent ineligibility. This includes misrepresenting AI involvement, impersonating another creator, or submitting infringing works.

Yes. Creators or labels who believe a registry decision, certification ruling, or chart eligibility determination was made in error may submit a formal appeal through the AIMSO Appeals Center with supporting documentation.

The Founding Beta is the current phase where the AIMI/AIMSO platform, standards, registry, and methodology are being actively developed with industry input and community feedback. All data and certifications during this period are preliminary.

No. AIMI/AIMSO is a voluntary industry consortium, not a government regulatory body. Our standards are voluntary transparency frameworks. Participation is optional, and our certifications carry no legal regulatory weight.
